Frankfurt: The world of Plastics is arriving in India, for PlastIndia 2015, come February next year. The crème-de-la-crème of the sector, those who’re making a difference in plastics across the world will step under one roof, to meet, visit, browse and exchange ideas at Asia’s largest convention for plastics. Stalls will abound and so will opportunities at this mega event. And on the same stage, the brightest minds and innovators from the world of plastics will be honoured at the 7thPlasticon Awards- 2015 to be held on 5th February 2015.
The awards in question were instituted by the PlastIndia Foundation to honour innovation and excellence in the world of plastics. Over the years, it has recognized those who’ve made a mark in the plastics sector with their foresight, skill and performance. The field of completion for getting recognised and to be awarded is open to one and all from the gambit of Plastics which are Innovations, organizations, professionals, work towards Green initiatives and so also students that have pushed for the change. These awards encompass every aspect of the world of plastics, from research to academia, from significant contributors to the plastic industry to brand new eco-friendly initiatives, from crowning the fastest growing organizations to recognizing the future of the plastic industry- students with potential and aptitude. What many are probably not aware of is that these awards are wholly sponsored by legends and pioneers from the plastics fraternity.
There is an eminent panel of stalwarts from this discipline handpicked to pick the winners; each with years of experience, acumen and expertise under his/her belt. The jury too has been selected, and like every recognising year, it comprises the most respected names of the plastics fraternity.
This time, at the seventh edition, the competition gets even more intense. Not only are the entries pouring in like never before, there are a staggering 25 categories! This includes 3 new categories for Indian participants and 4 for international ones, making it the important Plasticon Awards in existence. Encompassing the entire spectrum of subjects pertaining to plastics, this is the largest platform for those from this sector to showcase their talent and their prowess.
As of now, the process of picking shortlisted participants is still on; and will continue until the 30th of December 2014. Everyone in the plastics fraternity expects a heated competition this year, and from the looks of it they won’t be disappointed. The 7thPlasticon Awards 2015 is poised to be bigger, grander, superior and more power packed than ever before.
