“Apart from IFFI, it was also selected for the Toronto International Film Festival, Miami Film Festival and Berlin Film Festival,” D’Adesky said.

“I made the film when the kids were 12 years old. They have a normal home and go to school but one day a terrible earthquake occurs and they leave their home to go on to the city streets,” he said, explaining the film’s plot.

And the children did not let him down, he said.

“It was a great learning experience as the kids did not know we were shooting. In the first part of the film, they are not so good, but later they understood the concept and acted like actors,” he further said.

Claudia Sainte-Luce, who directed the Mexican film ‘The Amazing Catfish’, also said that it was a debut venture film.

“The story was made after meeting a lady named Martha who was in the process of dying of sickness (AIDS). I wanted to know her feelings and emotions. She opened her house to me to know her family,” she said, which was how the film came into being.

“There is loneliness, a wish to fulfill and belong to something or someone always. It’s every human’s wish. She lived with death every day and started to appreciate life better,” she further said narrating the basic flow of her film.
