Generale, successfully concluded its first Hackathon recently. The event saw participation from BIT, MSRIT, PESIT, MIT, SIT, BMS, RVCE, SJCE, IIIT B, among others. The theme for the coding challenge was: Build an office without boundaries for the digital bank of tomorrow. At the end of the challenge, the best 3 apps were selected by a panel of judges from SG GSC. These innovative solutions were awarded total prize money worth INR 5 lakhs.
· Winning team – Rajeev, Sanjeev, Akshay & Siddu from BIT, Bangalore.
· First runner-up – PESIT, Bangalore.
· Second runner-up – SJC, Mysore.
Xavier Lofficial, CEO, SG GSC, remarked, “In our continuous effort to provide a creative atmosphere and foster innovation, Societe Generale Group has been leveraging Hackathons to bring out the creative best from participants and provide a platform to exchange ideas and forge partnerships.”
The event saw a high level of energy from the participants who worked through the entire day and night. Leaders from SG GSC, provided the students a unique opportunity to be mentored and assisted in their quest to develop their apps. There was a lot of fun on the floor and students found time to network with their peers from different colleges.
