Bangalore : A team comprising of 15 Vice Chancellors of various Universities in the Czech Republic are on a visit to Bangalore. Some members of the delegation paid a visit to the BMS College of Engineering in Basavanagudi here on Thursday, October 30, 2014.
They visited the Higher Education Minister R V Deshpande yesterday to discuss the educational standards in the two countries. On their itinerary of Institutions to visit in India, members of the delegation met the Principal and the faculty of BMSCE on Thursday, in an interactive session organised by the college. BMS College of Engineering has a tie-up with some institutions in the Czech Republic. In lieu of the same, the Czech Edu team interacted with the students, faculty, and staff of the college. The students and faculty of Jyothi Institute of Technology, and BNM Institute of Technology were also invited for the session.
The foreign delegates discussed the modes of education in the Czech Republic, and how they are different from Indian standards. The students were also exposed to the seamless opportunities of education in Czech Republic. Sharing his experience, Dr K Mallikharjuna Babu, the Principal of BMSCE expressed, “It was a one-of-a-kind occasion, as we had amongst us the esteemed Vice Chancellors of some of the acclaimed universities in the Czech Republic. Staff and students of our college as well as BNMIT and Jyothi IT got the chance to hear valuable inputs regarding international educational standards and opportunities”.
