Bangalore : Narayana Health City today provided 1400 reflective jackets to traffic police personnel at the Bangalore Traffic Police headquarters. The gesture was made by Dr. Devi Shetty – Chairman, Narayana Health. The jackets were accepted by Mr. B. Dayananda – Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Bangalore City on behalf of Bangalore Traffic Police.
Commenting at the occasion, Dr. Devi Shetty, Chairman, Narayana Health, said, “Traffic Police work round the clock to safeguard our lives and ensure smooth flow of traffic in this chaotic city called Bangalore. Wearing reflective jackets especially at night helps in their safety. While the city traffic police are working for our safety, it is our humble gesture of appreciation towards their invariable duty towards the citizens of Bangalore.” He further added, “We also intend to organize a free health check-up camp for all the traffic police personnel in the city as they are exposed to extreme weather conditions, pollution and long working hours leading to hypertension, lung disease and other health issues.”
