Mumbai : In lieu of the growing importance of Indian MBA education on the global stage, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) has invited Dr Bibek Banerjee, Director IMT Ghaziabad, to serve on its Asia-Pacific Advisory Council (APAC).

To propagate its accreditation standards in Asia, about 5 years back, AACSB established its Asia office in Singapore with Dr Eileen Peacock, Senior Vice President and Chief Officer, Asia, leading the efforts.  Currently there are 43 AACSB members in India, Dr Banerjee being one of them.

Accepting this prestigious invitation, Dr. Bibek Banerjee, Director IMT Ghaziabad and Academic Mentor of IMT Group, extended his gratitude to AACSB. He said, “It is an honor when one gets a chance to do something on a global platform. I sincerely believe that there is no profession nobler than that of an educationist who moulds young minds. I look forward to this stint at APAC and I am grateful to them for giving me this opportunity.”

Established in 1916, AACSB International is a global, non-profit membership organization of educational institutions devoted to the advancement of management education. It provides its members with a variety of products and services to assist them with the continuous improvement of their business programs and schools.  In 2013, AACSB International announced its new accreditation standards that focus on Innovation, Engagement, and Impact in management education. The AACSB Accreditation Standards challenge schools to pursue excellence and continuous improvement throughout their

Business programs

Established in 1980, IMT Ghaziabad has consistently been one of the top rated B schools of the country. The institute has been working closely with some of the leading universities across the globe to give the students and faculty international exposure and experience. IMT Ghaziabad provides dual degree options in partnership with Arizona State University’s (ASU) WP Carey School Business, in which students have the ability to earn degrees from both institutions.
