Hyderabad: People on the second day of Photo Expo & Broadcast Film Expo 2014 being held here at JRC Convention Centre, Filmnagar, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad showed a lot of enthusiasm towards Photo Books and Wedding Magazines besides the range of designer albums. Photo Books, sleek albums, waterproof albums, light weight albums, wedding magazines are the current trends in the industry say industry experts.
Andhra Pradesh is a vibrant market, people here don’t compromise on quality and are willing to spend on the albums, said a representative at a stall of Apex Pro Albums, which offers slim, double sided, waterproof photo albums and magazines. Wedding magazines are their speciality, a 25 sheets magazine in 12X17 size is being offered just for Rs.900/- only by Apex Pro Albums. The paper comes in a variety of forms such as Glossy, Matt, tearable, Non-tearable, Pearl glossy, Heavy glossy, silk touch, metallic, etc. Apex Pro Albums claims to introduce them for the first time in AP and depending on the quality of the paper chosen it costs anywhere between Rs.900/- to Rs.1200/- for 25 sheets. We are doing 100 such albums per month, the representative at the stall said.

A representative from Hyderabad-based RR LED Visuals which offers Indoor LED Screens on rental basis said that the LED screens are being widely used in Weddings, Meeting rooms, School and College events, and many other places and they do not cost a bomb. A 8X12 LED screen can be rented out for just Rs.38000/- only. It works out to be Rs.400/- per sq.ft. and screen are available in various sizes.
Also during the day various free seminars viz., Seminar on Wedding Photography by Arvind Chenji; Seminar on High Speed Lighting by Shyam; Free Seminar on Canon Menu & Wedding Photography tips by Canon Expert and a Seminar on Energy Management were held for the benefit of Photographers and Videographers. Speaking on the sidelines of the seminars, Mr. Viren Satra, CMD – Monarch Innovative Technologies, a Mumbai-based IT solutions provider serving the Broadcast, Video & Imaging industry said that in India alone there is a requirement of 60000 quality photo and video editors for HD quality video editing. We have trained 300 people in Hyderabad on the subject, he said.
A variety of photo printers are also on display at different stalls. Kodak is showcasing Kodak 305 Photo Printer capable of printing from Smartphones via WiFi! It is a compact and lightweight printing solution and prints in two sizes and two finishes i.e. Gloss and Satin and is priced in the range of Rs.60000 to 1 lakh along with the Kiosk, informed Mr. K. Naveen, Sales & Marketing team.
The three-day expo which is open from 10am to 6pm is bring organised by city-based Villart Expositions. The event is being participated by over 100 exhibitors from across India including brands such as Sony, Apple, Canon, Panasonic, Photoquip, Monarch, Epson and others. The expos conclude tomorrow i.e. Sunday, 30th March 2014.
