Opening as a part of Gen Next designers Parul Bhargava launched her label ‘Mirage’ at Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2014. Drawing inspiration from concept of ‘Serenity’, Parul Bhargava showcased a collection of crop tops, pencil skirts, trousers and shirt dresses.
Romance, extravagant chic and glamour is all what Mirage is about. The luxury French label with Indian roots aims to create a bridge between beautiful traditional Indian craftsmanship and classy French design aesthetics. The label is inspired by the ideology of Impressionism. Impressionism is to capture the essence of the moments. The label is set to rediscover contemporary styles of impressionism.
“Mirage” by Parul Bhargava took the audience through a journey of internal experience and the transformation of an individual to develop inner peace and form a foundation for happiness. Created in beige, old rose, ivory and pistachio; the collection was a vision of beauty. Using 100% heavy silk crepe and combining with vibrant prints, intricate embroidery, shiny & matte sequins her collection offered young trendy options to the fashionistas.
The collection is inspired from Indian and European art, visuals, culture and heritage to bring design elements to convey a message of contemporary India. Cascading sequins and intricate embroidery added exquisite touch to the creations. The relaxed silhouettes gave the crop tops, skirts and jersey dresses with clever cuts and pleats, a perfect balance for summer resort wear.
The collection caters to the need of women, who are well read; self transformed and has strong values and purposes to lead her life. The debut of the label “Mirage” and the collection by Parul Bhargava had oodles of style, silhouettes and textures with a perfect blend of the contemporary global look.
