An elaborate ground to air security apparatus has been put in place in the national capital ahead of the 65th Republic Day celebrations.
More than 25,000 Delhi Police and paramilitary forces personnel will keep a tight vigil. About 125 buildings around Rajpath have been sealed by the Delhi Police.
A central monitoring centre has also been established where the CCTV footage from around 160 CCTV cameras installed on the stretch will be relayed live and top officials will constantly review the security detail in real time.
Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory asking people to avoid roads leading to Rajpath in the morning hours on 26th January as it would remain closed for vehicles.
The parade will start around 9.50 AM from Vijay Chowk and end at the Red Fort.
No traffic will be allowed on Tilak Marg, B S Z Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg upto Red Fort after 4 AM on Sunday.
Metro train services will be partially curtailed on Sunday, keeping in mind security concerns.
All metro station parking lots will remain closed from 2 PM on Saturday to 2 PM on Sunday.
