New Delhi : Focusing on the twin issues of domestic investors’ role and challenges for regulators, the Association of National Exchange Members of India (ANMI) will hold its 7th annual international convention on January 10 and 11, 2014 in the capital with the theme being “Sustaining investment growth in turbulent economic scenario”.
ANMI is an all India body of the trading members of all National Stock Exchanges and the convention is being held in association with both the NSE and BSE.
Hon’ble Minister of state of Finance ( Revenue) Shri JD Seelam will inaugurate the programme on 11th January morning at 9.30, followed by a special address by Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Anand Sharma. Joint secretary of Capital Markets, Ministry of Finance, GOI Mr. Manoj Joshi, SEBI Chairman, Mr UK Sinha, MD & CEO of NSE and BSE, Chitra Ramkrishna and Ashish Kumar Chauhan , ANMI President Dr. RMCV Prasada Rao will participate in the inaugural event.
Briefing the media about the convention, Dr. RMCV Prasada Rao – President, ANMI said, “Considering theme and thought-provoking topics of discussion, we expect it to act as a very useful exercise for the investor and broking community to not only get global market exposure, but learn the ways and means to survive turbulence and sustain growth.”
Dr. (CA) Sudhir K Agarwal, Chairman, ANMI Convention 2014 said, “Along with the wide platform for interaction and global exposure, 7th International Convention 2014 will also provide an opportunity to know about innovative products which are in the pipeline or on drawing board stage. About 300 participants are expected to join the convention. These participants include senior functionaries of Government of India, Regulators, Big Industrial Houses, Educational Institute & Agencies Associated with Financial Markets.”
The convention will provide a platform to the participants with ample networking opportunities on various policies and regulations of various countries. The prime topics of discussion include Indian economic future in turbulent world economy, appropriate financial products for Indian eco system, challenges for exchanges and regulators, domestic investors is a key to market stability and much more.
The Association will present the ‘ANMI Excellence Award 2014’ and felicitate past presidents of ANMI for their valuable contribution to create an efficient Indian financial market scenario.
